At uPerform, we recognize our responsibility as a global company to take actions that will leave a positive impact on the environment and lower our carbon footprint. This year we have committed to several environmental initiatives to promote a sustainable lifestyle around the office and in our communities, including:
- Partnering with the National Forest Foundation to plant 100 trees for every new contract signed in 2022
- Joining the MD Green Registry
- Providing employees with additional time off for environmental volunteer activities
- Eliminating the use of single-use plastic food and beverage utensils, containers, etc. in the office and at company events
- Expanding the in-office recycling program
- Transitioning to paper-free documentation and record keeping whenever possible
- Committing to a permanent hybrid work schedule, reducing our company-wide impact on traffic congestion and vehicle emissions
- Transferring to a colocation center for data storage and server hosting, reducing water usage and overall carbon footprint
