During the event we heard from Rachel White, BSN, RN, System Manager of Information Systems and IT Training at Aspirus Health, who successfully built a cohesive, scalable learning ecosystem by taking a new approach to Epic® education. With this new training model, Aspirus reaped the benefits of:
- Expedited Onboarding: Created and deployed 11 workflow-specific courses in two weeks, getting 2,500 new hires through training and to the bedside faster.
- Smooth Go-Live: Prepared clinicians across 7 new hospitals and 21 new clinics for an Epic go-live with microlearning available in the flow of work.
- Reduced Training Costs: Replaced classroom training with role-based virtual courses, reducing travel and time-off-the-floor costs for 5,500 staff members.

Rachel has served Aspirus Health for nearly 20 years, with a background in nursing. She currently leads the IT- Training team who are responsible for educating clinical end users on Epic and other clinical technologies they may interact with while caring for our patients.
